If you're using the launcher you should just be able to select local server and then click play you don't even have to mess with the client

When I load a single player game using just the server jar via the terminal and connecting to a local instance in the launcher, it works fine. However, when I try to start the game by simply clicking "Start Single Player" in the launcher, the experience is laggy and unplayable.

Is there any way to copy and paste your password I use secure passwords from a password manager and it's really tedious and time consuming to type in secure passwords
