and I've come to the realization there are two plugin folders, one within the main folder, and another bundled in the singleplayer folder.
ran 'java -server.jar' from that folder and only got a classnotfoundexception

Well, either I'm incredibly dumb, or executing the jar file with java is not doing anything.

Additionally it still said the plugins were loaded despite deleting all files for plugins, is singleplayer stored somewhere other than the folder the backup folder is? That's where I'm deleting from.

Deleted the plugins, still the same. In this launcher it has you download the singleplayer independently, from the looks of it.

Funny enough, the singleplayer has all the plugins installed by default for me. However I can just delete them from the plugins folder so it doesn't run them.

Sorry for my noob response, but how do I swap to an X11 desktop? I mean, wouldn't that have to be a different window manager or no? I know in the past installing multiple window managers can get messy so I want to avoid that.

If you're on linux, try setting the FPS cap in the launcher from 0 (auto) to 50 There is a bug in the JDK where on X11, people with multi monitor setups sometimes have a default debug response come up when you attempt to get the refresh rate. The automatic FPS detection code, then, would be setting...
