[Singleplayer] Client & Content update

Post by between3and20 »

The client provided for singleplayer is outdated also has no configuration options, and in my case the scrollbar does not work.

I will show you how to update the Singleplayer Client & Content and add configuration option for client. (if you dont want open saradomin launcher separately).

Client & Content update:

1. Download latest windows client and latest singleplayer version and straight extract the singleplayer archive anywhere on your device.

2. Now run the downloaded client 2009scape-launcher-sc.exe and click load to see Runescape login screen then turn it off. (is an easy way to export an lastest client)

3. To build the current version of the live server use this guide or this official guide.

4. If you have done, open the live server repository folder locally and copy worldprops, data and server.jar files into your singleplayer folder.

5. Of course, accept the file swap:

6. Go to C:\Users\your_name\2009scape\here.

In this location you will have a java file named 2009scape.jar (this is the export from 2009scape-launcher-sc.exe file that we run sec ago),
rename it to client.jar, then copy & replace with your outdated client.jar in your singleplayer version.

7. Done. Your Singleplayer server (content) & client is updated.

Time to add new config which will allow you to change the client options.
All you have to do is edit with a text editor the config.json that is in your singleplayer folder. (windows-master\game\Here)

Open and select everything in it and replace it with the new config:

Or you could just use the build_singleplayer.sh script in the linux repo that does all this for you
