OpenRSC has been down for 3 days (and estimated 1-2 more) due to dupes

Extremely unfortunate for them since they were experiencing all-time-high playercounts. Logg (2009scape contributor and OpenRSC staff member) is discussing to implement dupe detection to catch similar issues faster

Servers are back up, the several day downtime cost them ~half the playerbase



(Most OpenRSC players are new since they've just had a spike of growth, hence why they quit and haven't come back)

The dupe itself was actually reported months ago, but wasn't fixed (along with many other bug reports by the same user). The user who reported it got frustrated the OpenRSC team wasn't fixing his reports so he started duping.

It's not a justification but IMO OpenRSC *does* have an issue where even MRs don't get merged for months. It's very annoying to make improvements and not see them into the live game for so much time.

Hopefully they can continue sailing forwards though, it's a great project
