Fullscreen won't work

Post by Matoxewu »

I own an older Dell laptop, and interestingly, another similar laptop I have doesn't encounter the issues I'm facing. The problem arises when attempting to enter fullscreen mode, with an error message indicating the inability to change the display. The screen briefly flashes black before reverting to the standard size. I've encountered this problem persistently, even after a fresh installation of Windows 10. Currently, I'm experiencing the same issue on Ubuntu.

On Ubuntu, I have Java 17 installed. However, the Saradomni launcher specifies a requirement of Java 11 and generates its own instance. Unfortunately, I'm unable to alter the path or directory to point to the Java 17 installation in the launcher settings. Furthermore, in the file manager, I'm unable to locate the directory where Java 11 is supposedly executed from.

I've attempted various solutions, including adjusting display scaling to 100%, but it hasn't made a difference. My suspicion is that the compatibility between Java 11 and the Saradomni launcher might be the root cause of the problem. I'm seeking guidance and suggestions, as I feel like I've exhausted several troubleshooting options without success. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
