Ring of Wealth doesn't work on Gem Drop Table

Post by ann »

Issue:
  • Ring of wealth doesn't remove the 'nothing' drop from the Gem Drop Table (GDT) as it is supposed to do.
How to replicate:
  • Go to Gorak Plane (fairy ring DIR)
  • Kill a few Goraks.
  • Sometimes they drop just [Big Bones] + [Coins] implying there was a [Nothing] roll on the guaranteed GDT slot - something ring of wealth is supposed to prevent.

GDT != RDT, and your image is just a screenshot of the OSRS wiki.

Mod Ash stated on Twitter on Feb 2014 that the Ring of Wealth affects the Gem Drop Table (GDT).
Before this revelation, it wasn't exactly clear what it affected and there was a lot of speculation. Maintaining that the Ring of Wealth only affected the RDT in 2009 is based on hearsay in the face of the above evidence.
The image above is a combination of 2009scape drop table and and the OSRS Gem Drop Table and the point still stands.
