What did you do?
lowered an edgeville guard's hp to less than half
ran to safe spot and logout and back in
kill guard with lowered hp
wait for drop to appear globally
drop doesn't appear
What happened?
loot that is supposed to appear globally after waiting doesn't appear if most of the damage is done pre-logout.
What did you expect to happen?
the drop should appear globally after waiting for some time.
Are there any relevant item/npc IDs? (use ::debug command in chat)
Any screenshots/recordings?
Have you reproduced it on the test server? If so, what are the steps?
logging out while npc has less than half hp result in drops to not appear globally

Re: logging out while npc has less than half hp might result in disappearing drops
I have had this happen with drops as-well when disconnecting/relogging. Thought it was due to being an ironman, but assuming you're a normie, it must be a global thing.

Re: logging out while npc has less than half hp might result in disappearing drops
You relogged, so it's a different Entity instance dealing the remaining damage to the boss. You before you logged out != you after you logged back in. It could be fixed but I'm not sure it is supposed to be.meep wrote: ↑Sat Aug 27, 2022 6:07 pm What did you do?
killing kree
What happened?
got a announcement saying i got a arma helm but there was nothing on the ground.
it was a kill i left below half hp before i logged for lunch. Finished the kill coming back and got the announcement but no drop.
What did you expect to happen?

hmm i don't remember loot not showing up when i did gwd back in the days and afk logged while regearing.
Re: logging out while npc has less than half hp might result in disappearing drops
I think @meep is right. Maybe the kill shouldn't be his if he has logged out and not done enough damage, but the loot should be global after a time?

From memory, it could have been the case that it had to be in 1 session.ryannathans wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 6:51 ami think he did all the damage though, just not all in 1 session

Re: logging out while npc has less than half hp might result in disappearing drops
I believe it is authentic to be able to log back in, even an hour later, and finish the kill and still receive the drop. However I also believe that if you did over half the total damage prior to your logging out, you would have to wait for the drop to appear globally/publicly before you could see it.
If I can find a source for information on this I will post it.

This is the critical part that indicates it works exactly how I mentioned aboveSia wrote: However I also believe that if you did over half the total damage prior to your logging out, you would have to wait for the drop to appear globally/publicly before you could see it.
