Singleplayer Local Network Multiplayer

When running a single player server, what setting if easily doable need to be changed to get a second machine on the same network connected? When launching the client standallone I see it attempted to connect to play.2009runescape.org but when search through the .jar or outside im not sure how to get this to be localhost (Though found some setting that have it set to localhost)

Would it be just more practical to download the latest repo master, and compile that instead?
