Problems with logging in?

Is anyone else getting issues trying to log in this afternoon?
Keep getting a message to try a different world....

I can connect to the testing server without problems...
Are you confirming I'm not the only one having problems with the main server at the moment?

Multiple people are having problems yes
A couple things to note:
1) The testing server and the live server don't even run on the same machine
2) A problem with the live server's code causing it to crash wouldn't affect the testing server even if they were on the same machine

this issue has been resolved. the database service had failed and could not be restarted, there is no data loss
