What did you do?

Combined empty oil lamp with oil lantern frame and made an oil lantern.

What happened?

The item was successfully created but it awarded no xp to anything.

What did you expect to happen? (Provide a source from runescape wiki/youtube/etc if possible)

I expected to receive 250 Crafting XP (This would be 50 Base XP x5) upon creation of the lantern, but I received no XP to anything. Source: osrswiki https://oldschoolrunescape.fandom.com/wiki/Oil_lamp

Tested what you've described and have found the same thing taking place on the test server.
100% agree the experience you're having matches the behvaiour you've described.

In terms of authenticity, however, OSRS has diverged from where 2009scape was and as a result OSRS and it's wiki aren't a good place to determine what is authentic 2009scape behaviour.

So far, I've found xp rewards for many related activities according to runescape wiki revisions from 2009:

But no specific references to xp awarded for assembly. Even had a glance on youtube and no luck. Keen to hear other's thoughts/input on this.

Considering the only source is for xp gain on assembly is OSRS, it can be assumed that this was an OSRS change. OSRS changes are irrelevant to this project.

I find it hard to believe there wouldn't be exp rewarded for making an oil lantern..

In principle agree @Red Bracket - I spent the better part of an hour having a look for an xp gain for this on any wiki source and there just wasn't anything suggesting that the assembly step was going to award XP.

Even third party wikis had similar information: http://www.global-rs.com/guides/skills/ ... lassmaking - The act of assembly here doesn't award XP, but the rest of the process (crafting the ingredients required to assemble) have given XP.

It does seem as if this is an OSRS only change, but I'm super open to being proven wrong.
