Tree Patch in Gnome Stronghold - Maple Tree turned into Yew Tree

What did you do?
I cut down a fully grown maple tree on a tree patch in the Tree Gnome Stronghold
What happened?
- I kept getting maple logs even after the tree was cut down
-The maple tree stump all of a sudden turned into a yew tree
- the super compost is still applied to the patch (I guess it's because I never dug it up)
What did you expect to happen? (Provide a source from runescape wiki/youtube/etc if possible)
- I expected that my character would have stopped chopping the maple tree once it fell
Are there any relevant item/npc IDs? (use ::debug command in chat)

Have you reproduced it on the test server? If so, what are the steps?

Steps:
1. Plant Maple Sapling (::item 5372) in Tree Gnome Stronghold tree patch
2. Use ::grow until the maple tree fully grown
3. Cut tree (i used an iron axe because that's what happened in the live server ::item 1349)
Note that my farming level is only 49 so I can't plant yew trees.
