Fight Arena Quest - Time Limited Fights?

Hello,
I was just wondering if the fights in the Fight Arena quest are supposed to be time limited?
The ogre disappeared once for me and Bouncer disappeared 4x mid-fight.
For the ogre I was ranging when it disappeared, but for Bouncer I was using melee for 3 of the fights and ranged on the 4th one:
