Has anybody experienced this? Trying to run the essence_miner script which logs me out after a couple of minutes. Is there a setting in the config files I overlooked?

These are unmaintained features, all sorts of issues are likely to crop up with them that aren't likely to be fixed, because no one maintains or cares about these.
