Single player issues plz help

I went to go do single player and it keeps saying i need to download the single player updates, but ive done it like 6 times? also before it started doing that it said "port 43595 is in use, cannot start". help

also it keeps saying "extracting" for like forever.

Port already in use sounds like it started up but then didn't launch the client. Stuck at extracting is weird, sometimes it takes 10-15 seconds but it should work.

Try restarting your computer - the fact it said the port is in use means the singleplayer server did, at some point, download, and restarting the computer will kill the existing running server.

After starting singleplayer, a client should automatically appear.

If no client automatically appears, set the launcher to connect to local server, not close on launch, then click Play (see image for reference).

Where does it say that? There's a button to Update Singleplayer, and you can click it as many times as you want, but if there's no update it won't do anything

yea thats what i meant sorry im slow. it kept making me update it over and over

Having this same issue with my new win11 PC extracting infinitely, launcher worked fine on my older win 7 PC and currently still does on my Win8 laptop.

Confused as to what is causing it, tried several things here on the support posts but no dice.
